Trash and Household Rubbish Plan

Listed below are the new guidelines for trash and rubbish pickup.  You must follow all guidelines to insure an accurate pickup.  THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS.  If the guidelines are not met, your trash/rubbish will NOT be picked up.

Trash and household rubbish, which includes garden trash, lawn grass, shrubbery, leaves, and like materials must be properly bagged or containerized; and all tree limbs LESS THAN 3 INCHES IN DIAMETER, cut in lengths of FIVE FEET or less, and weighing FIFTY (50) pounds or less will be collected.  ALL LEAVES AND GARDEN TRASH MUST BE BAGGED AND ALL SHRUBBERY AND TREE LIMBS MUST BE BUNDLED WITH A ROPE OR LIKE ITEM. 

Household rubbish shall include old appliances, furniture, and other items normally found within a home and weighing less than FIFTY (50) POUNDS will be picked up.  These items must be in compliance with section 608 of the Federal Clean Air Act.

ALLIED WASTE/BFI WILL NOT COLLECT (1) construction material, (2) any tree trimmings produced by a tree surgeon, or (3) any material or object which is not permitted for disposal in a Class I Rubbish Landfill, as defined by DEQ.

All refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners MUST BE FREE OF FREON AND TAGGED BY A CERTIFIED REFRIGERANT SPECIALIST that the Freon has been captured prior to our collecting the object.

All trash and household rubbish must be placed at the edge of the street or road next to the Allied Waste/BFI can fronting each residence on their collection day.
